Visitech SBMS/256 is a standalone e-mail server appliance that supports up to 256 e-mail users. So there is no need to buy additional hardware. It collects e-mail directly from the Internet and distributes it to the specified e-mail user. The users can send e-mail directly through the Internet or through another mail server. The SBMS/256 supports groups of e-mail users. If mail is sent to a group the e-mail message is sent to each member of that group.

For example Sales@yourcompany.com may have up to 256 members belonging to that group whom will each receive the message sent to Sales@yourcompany.com. The SBMS/256 supports user alias e-mail addresses. An alias is another e-mail address for the user to use. For example if the primary users e-mail is you@yourcompany.com they may also have youoffice@yourcompany.com as an alias address. Both e-mail addresses will go to the primary user, you@yourcompany.com. Users may have up to 16 e-mail alias addresses.The SBMS/256 supports unlimited domain names. A domain name is the last part of the e-mail address after the “@” symbol. For example you@yourcompany.com has a domain name of yourcompany.com.

The SBMS/256 is remotely administered using a web browser. The administration of the SBMS/256 server has been simplified for easy administration.
